If banners are to be freestanding in the middle of rooms they can be lined at a small extra charge. Banners mounted against a wall do not need this.
Most banners are on calico or coloured cotton.
All banners are hand made with some handsewing, some pasting, some painting and are hemmed by machine.
This series are made from rich coloured cotton velvet fabrics. The backgrounds for each one are in different combinations of four basic colours - red, blue, purple and green. Each has a red channel at the top with room to run a pole throught it for mounting. The lettering is in gold and is slightly wadded, so that it has some substance and sits well on the surface of the velvet.
